Update - Free Training for Volunteers

We at Northern Volunteering have supplied free training for volunteers since 2002. This programme, funded by the Office for Volunteers since 2002, has richly benefited the northern community with well into the thousands of volunteers attending the vast array of sessions offered. Funding ceased on 30 June 2006 and Office for Voluteers has not indicated that funding will be reinstated, therefore, Northern Volunteering can no longer offer free training for volunteers. Jacene will only be able to offer Fee for Service training from Northern Volunteering over the next quarter, unless the contract is re- negotiated. Management is disappointed we are unable to offer the free service and will lobby government for the reinstatement of the Free Training programme.
